Transfers!

19.10.15

Tried to go door to door today after P-day. The problem with that, is that by the time we started--6:30 ish--it was already dark. So? The people are inside? The thing is, Germans go to bed as soon as it gets dark, regardless of if it is 4:30--like in January--or 10:30--like July. I have literally gone door to door at 8:45 at night, and no one has a problem with it, IF THE SUN IS UP.

However. Go tracting 5 minutes after the sun has gone down...and you're in trouble.

It's okay, we only were cussed out 3 times, yelled at 2 times, and told we were not allowed to enter an apartment building 1 time. Heck, we didn't even get the cops called on us.

20.10.15

Went to Lüneburg today. Beautiful city, terrible weather. Makes for an interesting mix. Almost the only people out and about were the tourists--the ones who pay to be there. Along with that...yeah.

Kind of a slow day. Could be worse.

21.10.15

Had Distrikt meeting today, and Elder Somma was sick. He was miserable the whole time. But other then that it was pretty good. Went and got chicken afterwards,,,and discovered that I'd forgotten to bring money. And Elder Peacock only had 10 €.

So he bought a burger for 5€, and I bought some chicken nuggets for 5€, and it was a party.

Then we went and worked for a bit, met with a less active and helped him throw out some old furniture, and when we came home, I was really, really hungry, so I tried making some cheese sauce stuff, and rice, but when I poured the cheese sauce onto the rice, the rice proceeded to suck all the water out of my cheese sauce, making my cheese sauce basically a bunch of butter with cheese flavoring in it. So it became, instead of Rice in a Cheese sauce, Rice Floating in Cheesy Butter.

Nasty.

THE REST

Well, I failed again. No more have I written this week

I will however send pictures from Lüneburg, we were there and it was gorgeous.

Oh, and I got transferred...to Schwerin!!! Yay!!! I'm way excited. It's supposed to be a beautiful city. Wish me luck!!

Viele Grüße,
Elder Burton
